What I am Thankful for.....

I am thankful for so many things.  First and foremost, I am thankful for God who brought his only son to die for our sins so that we may make it back home.  Without the Lord, our Savior Jesus Christ, none of us would have a chance to make it back to our spot in heaven.  I am thankful for my family in everything that they have done for me.  They have been there through thick and thin, and when I say thick, I mean VERY thick, and when I say thin I mean VERY thin!!  They have never let me down.  I love you guys so very much!
Through the years I have been through many many friends and I want to thank the ones that have stuck by me through everything.  There are only a few of you left, but without you I would be lost.  I also want to thank the ones that may have not stuck by me.  Without you guys I would be going down the same road.  Every one I have ever had in my life at one point had a reason for being in my life.  Everyone that I may not talk to anymore, still know that I am thankful for you and being a part of many memories.  I know I can be a pain at times, but you guys have seen the real me inside and know that I mean well.  Thank You
Brian, you have been a true inspiration to me and I thank you for that.  I have seen how you treat life and it makes me look up to you.  You live life through deaf ears.  You dont know what a holiday sounds like, you dont even know what your own voice sounds like, but you know the true meaning of life.  You know that God has a master plan for you.  You are the reason I wake up and take a breath every morning knowing that other people have it harder, yet you stay strong and move forward in life.  Words cant describe how much I love you and am thankful that God put you in my life.
I have been through so much in this life, but nothing compares to what Jesus Christ went through for me and for every human being that walks the face of the Earth.  No matter if you believe or not, its a fact.  I am thankful for the air I breathe and for everyday that I am able to wake up and gain another chance to prove myself to my Lord in hopes of gaining a spot in his Kingdom.  I hope everyone has a fantastic Thanksgiving Day and remember to say your grace :).

God Bless You!

I am a RIGHT WING EXTRTEMIST..AND??

So today was a very interesting day.  I was out doing field work for Governor Rick Perry and someone pointed at me and said to his wife..."Look its a Right Wing Extremist"  I guess he was referring to my shirt which has the same emblem as my Facebook.  I walked up to the man, which was Hispanic, more than likely Illegal, big surprise right?  I asked him.  Do you even know what a Right Wing Extremist is??  He rushed his wife into the car and drove off.  My guess was that he didnt know what it was.  Let me explain something.  For one, Right Wing Extremist derived from our current Administration working in Washington DC.  They also refer to us as the MOB, and also Radicals.
My definition of a Right Wing Extremist is very simple.  We hate the government telling us what we cant and can do.  We stand up for whats right rather than standing in line for the next government hand out.  We believe in God and our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and we simply dont like to be pushed around.  We are All-American, fun, outgoing, loving people.  Now, the governments definition of a Right Wing Extremist is the EXACT opposite.  If they cant tell us what to do, they label us.  They think by labeling us, were going to back down.  Were going to get scared and run back into our houses and hide in the closet.  Im very sorry to tell you this Obama and every other Liberal out there, but, I dont think so.
Right Wing Extremists are growing by the numbers everyday.  The more people get informed, the worse its going to get for the government.  The more you dont listen, the louder we will scream.  The more you push us, the madder we get.  I can tell you one thing right now!!  I dont give a rats fucking ass if Healthcare passes or not because I will not buy that Liberal SHIT.  I dont care if abortion is covered or not, I dont care if there is a PUBLIC plan or not. I dont care if I get free money for the rest of my life.  I think you get my point.
Nancy Pelosi, you can throw me in jail.  You can take away my money, you can do whatever the hell you want.  I am ok with that.  You can hang me in front of Washington DC.  GO FOR IT.  I will not buy Healthcare and the way its going it doesnt look like I will be filing for taxes anymore either cuz im sick of you people telling me what the fuck to do!  Im sick of the government telling me that I have to pay some lazy ass who cant get off thier damn ass and buy a fucking lawnmower or do whatever it takes to take care of thier OWN life.  I am sick and tired of you people telling us what we need and dont need.  You remember one thing!  You work for ME and the AMERICAN people.  Sorry ILLEGALS dont count because your NOT fucking American.  You need to pack your shit and get the fuck back over the border and fix your own damn country while the Mafia is trying to take it over.  Grow a pair and take whats yours and quit taking whats mine.  Give us our jobs back.  Ill be more than happy to hang out in a field all day and pick some corn, and to the farmers out there that are paying these guys, FUCK NO I will not be paid .25 cents an hour.  Quit being stingy and start putting your foot down before our country is taken right before our eyes!!
People that are getting abortions.  How would you feel knowing that you were an abortion?  Its called adoption.  There are people out there that want a family that cant have one, quit being selfish and keep your pants closed.  To the girls that get raped, I know its hard but why would you kill a human?  You cant do 2 wrongs to make it right.  You will regret it everyday of your life!  To the soldiers that get out of the military and PRETEND to be hurt and "ouch" my ankle hurts and collect thousands of dollars a month for NOTHING.  STOP LYING!!  Your affecting our country!  (I know tons of people who do that and I think its pathetic and its not very Christian)  People, WAKE UP!!  Our country is slipping by the day.  Start shouting, stop watching the news and start writing people.  Get active!!  Take back our country.  Give California back to Mexico and lets do this.  Stop paying your taxes!!  Stop feeding the beast!!  This is WAR!!!  And to the government and to all Liberals.....

Thats what a Right Wing Extremist is!  What are you going to do??  See you on the Grassroots Baby!!

Married Couples Earning 50k/yr. Face Extra Tax on Healthcare Bill

Senate Democrats' health care bill would create a new marriage penalty by imposing a tax on individuals who make $200,000 annually but hitting married couples making just $50,000 more!  That's one of 17 new taxes imposed by the bill, which also creates a levy on elective plastic surgery - some call it "botax" - and places a 40 percent excise tax on those who have generous health care plans.

"If you have insurance, you get taxed. If you don't have insurance, you get taxed. If you need a life-saving medical device, you get taxed. If you need prescription medicines, you get taxed," said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican, who is leading the fight against the bill.

The new taxes would be used to fund an expansion of government medical programs and to fund subsidies for lower-income individuals to buy insurance, extending health care coverage to 94 percent of eligible non-elderly Americans.

Democrats said the bill will offer lower health care costs for small businesses and families, and said the new taxes are aimed at upper-income earners, so costs would not go up for the middle class. They said that makes good on President Obama's campaign pledge not to increase taxes on families making less than $250,000 a year, which explains the reason for the new marriage penalty.

"We wanted to make this provision consistent with the president's pledge not to increase taxes on singles making under $200,000 and married couples making under $250,000," said Jim Manley, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, who wrote the Senate bill.

"Yes, this structure can create a 'marriage penalty' for some couples. It also creates a 'marriage bonus' for others," he said. "A married couple with one wage earner can earn up to $250,000 without facing this higher tax, whereas a single person in the same job with the same pay would be hit by it."

But a married couple in which each earner makes $150,000 would be hit with the tax, whereas an unmarried couple living together with the same incomes would not. Ryan Ellis, tax policy director at Americans for Tax Reform, said the new marriage penalty comes on top of an existing one that's always been part of the payroll tax, which funds Social Security and Medicare.

He said when the payroll tax was created to fund Social Security during the New Deal, lawmakers didn't anticipate the freelance of two-income families, so there's always been a sort of marriage penalty for couples whose incomes topped the single-earner income taxation level.  Such penalties have been thorny issues in the tax codes for years.  The new tax would rise from 1.45 percent to 1.95 percent for singles making $200,000 a year and couples making $250,000.
Congress earlier this decade tried to reduce the marriage penalty in the income tax code by adjusting the standard deduction for single taxpayers and married couples and expanding the 15 percent tax bracket for couples filing joint tax returns. Mr. Ellis said another problem with Democrats' plan is that the new payroll tax is not indexed for inflation, even though wage growth is about 5 percent a year. That means the tax will capture an ever-larger share of taxpayers. "Fifteen years from now, someone who today is earning $100,000, if their wage growth just grows on average, 15 years from now they're going to be paying this tax," Mr. Ellis said.

The plastic surgery tax could increase the cost of nips and tucks by imposing a 5 percent tax on the cost of such surgeries. The tax is slated to go into effect Jan. 1 and is expected to raise $5.8 billion over 10 years. It would cover all elective procedures, whether covered by insurance or not, but would not be levied on surgeries intended to repair personal injuries. Some of the taxes are already running into political trouble with Democrats' core supporters.

The Teamsters union on Thursday blasted the proposal to impose a 40 percent excise tax on "Cadillac" high-value health insurance plans, saying it would threaten the benefit-rich coverage unions have fought hard to win for their workers.
"Any claim that it affects only 'Cadillac' plans and thus the wealthy is misleading," said Teamsters President James P. Hoffa Jr. "This tax will fall on one-third of Americans in 10 years. ... The idea that this tax will curtail rising premiums is just dead wrong."
The tax is slated to go into effect in 2013 and would apply to individual policies worth $8,500 or family policies worth $23,000. A slightly higher threshold would apply for early retirees and those in high-risk professions. Budget analysts said they expect that employers and consumers will start to ditch the high-value plans and instead pay the money to workers in higher wages and salaries, so most of the nearly $150 billion in revenue on which Democrats are counting from the provision would come from higher income taxes.
"Put a tax on my high-premium health plan and suddenly it's not such a good deal," said Roberton Williams, a senior fellow at the Tax Policy Center. "I'd rather have the cash." Several relatively small tax increases will be aimed at health savings accounts and medical savings accounts. One will change the definitions for medical expenses that qualify as itemized deductions. Another will raise the penalties for withdrawing funds from these vehicles. A third would limit health-related flexible spending arrangements.
"All of these changes are designed to make health savings accounts less attractive and cripple consumer-directed health care plans," said Michael Cannon, director of Health Policy Studies at the Cato Institute. Altogether, they would raise about $20 billion through 2019.

GOP Governors Push for 2010 Rebirth!!

Thrilled with twin victories this month, Republican governors are looking to lead a party-wide resurgence in 2010 and shape the GOP for years to come.

Republicans boast of a strong crop of gubernatorial candidates who could be future party leaders, $25 million in the bank a year before the elections and a difficult environment for Democrats, particularly in financially ailing swing-voting states like Ohio and Iowa.

"Next year's going to be a good year for Republican governors," predicted Haley Barbour, Mississippi's governor and chairman of the Republican Governors Association. "In states where there are Republican governors, people can see if conservative and Republican ideas, when actually implemented, work."

Yet, Republicans face a Democratic Party that holds more states and is led by a proven fundraiser in President Barack Obama. There's no certainty that the landscape will continue to tilt toward the GOP a year from now or that a party plagued by infighting and lacking a standard-bearer will find a winning message by then.

More than control of statehouses is at stake. Governors elected in 2010 will be instrumental in redrawing congressional and legislative districts. And they will lay the foundation in important states for the 2012 presidential race when Obama is expected to run for re-election.

Republican governors and gubernatorial candidates met this week outside of Austin to plot strategy. On hand were possible presidential candidates like Barbour and Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota as well as Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and Mitch Daniels of Indiana. Govs.-elect Bob McDonnell of Virginia and Chris Christie of New Jersey attended, as did the GOP's top recruits for 2010 races, including John Kasich, a former congressman, in Ohio and Attorney General Tom Corbett in Pennsylvania.

Mindful of polls showing voters fearful of the economy and angry at Washington for budget-busting spending, Republicans honed a message of fiscal discipline and job creation.

They also dissected victories in Democratic-held New Jersey and Virginia this month. The wins were due in no small part to the flight of independents toward the GOP as well as an emphasis on pocketbook issues and the candidates' aggressive use of the Internet to reach voters.

Republicans hope for big wins in 2010 and also that governors elected next fall will become a collective catalyst for a rebirth after disastrous back-to-back national elections in 2006 and 2008.

There's precedent for governors leading the charge in mending devastated parties, and for governorships being a training ground for a party's next crop of national leaders.
Republicans were wiped out in 1964 when Barry Goldwater carried only Southern states. But two years later, Republicans rebounded. The GOP made its biggest gains in gubernatorial races, picking up eight states in a class of 1966 that included such up-and-comers as Ronald Reagan in California. The GOP was soundly beaten again in 1976 but 1978 saw Republicans gain six states, and after the big Democratic wins in 1992, the GOP picked up 10 states in 1994.
Conversely, Democrats were demoralized after Reagan's presidential win in 1980. A resurgence began two years later when Democrats gained seven governorships, a class filled with state leaders who would shape Democratic politics for a generation, including Bill Clinton in Arkansas, Michael Dukakis in Massachusetts and Mario Cuomo in New York.

Now, Republicans control 22 states, and will take charge of New Jersey and Virginia in January.
Voters will choose 37 governors next November, and 21 seats are open. Most are competitive.

At this point, the environment points to Republican gains. "Our goal for next year is to get appreciably above a majority," Barbour said.

The GOP is expected to pick up Democratic-held seats in at least two states John McCain won last fall. In Tennessee, Democratic Gov. Phil Bredesen is retiring with no obvious successor. And in Kansas, Democratic Gov. Mark Parkinson is stepping down after filling the post when Obama chose Kathleen Sebelius as his Health and Human Services secretary; Sen. Sam Brownback is the GOP candidate and is widely expected to win.

Elsewhere, Republicans are targeting Democratic Govs. Bill Ritter in Colorado, Chet Culver in Iowa, Ted Strickland in Ohio _ three critical swing-voting states _ and Deval Patrick in Massachusetts. They're also making aggressive plays for open Democratic-held seats in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, among others.

Democrats, conversely, are looking to pick up GOP-controlled seats in Arizona and Nevada, and Republican-held open seats in Florida, California, Minnesota, Vermont, Rhode Island and Hawaii.

Ed Goeas, a Republican pollster, said gubernatorial candidates _ unlike Senate and House candidates _ have a chance to rebuild the GOP's image as a party that delivers more efficient and effective government.
"It's an opportunity for us to re-establish our party as the party of solutions that work," Goeas said.
Democrats scoff at the notion of governors leading a GOP rebound.

"This Republican Party lacks vision. This Republican Party wants to go back to what voters rejected," said Nathan Daschle, executive director of the Democratic Governors Association. "In the war of ideas, we will win."

Immigration Reform

So I was a little disturbed this morning when I recieved my copy of the El Paso Times and on the Front Page it was headlined "Immigration Reform."  I live in a very diverse town.  We are one of the biggest border towns in the world and frankly, im quite sick of this topic. For those of you who dont know, the Obama Administration (big surprise) is pushing forward an amnesty week to let 12 million illegal immigrants that are currently undocumented, GET DOCUMENTS!  Im sorry, im not trying to be rude, but WTF?!
America is a law abiding country.  The law is, if you come here illeaglly and you get caught, you get deported and have your rights to apply for citizenship revoked for 10 years.  Period.  Obama states that there are a lot of "good citizens that are illegal."  For one, how can you be a "citizen" if you are illegal?  For two, when these immigrants snuck into our country the first thing they did was BREAK A LAW!  But they ar law abiding citizens right?  WRONG!
In order to be a citizen of this country you have to be law abiding, I dont care who you are, how bad your country is or where you come from.  If you dont like your country, then FIX IT!!  The Mexican government has let the Mafia continue to run in thier country, they ignored it and though it was not a big problem, guess what?  The Mafia IS the government now.  How is that our fault?  Now our government is doing the same thing.  They have done whatever they want thinking there will not be consequences, mark my words.  If the government continues down this path and just accepts everything and anything, America wil be the next Mexico.  When you let Mexicans infiltrate our country and do whatever they want thats what happens.  The evidence is there people, pay attention.  Get rid of illegals or pay the price.  Many families are not eating today because illegals are doing the jobs Americans could be doing, at half the price.

Hayward CA: Muslim in Mall Tears off Crucifix from Christians Neck!!

While Muslims are constantly playing the victim card, they are the ones that continue to stir up trouble in the name of Islam.  Hat tip to Jihad Watch.  Man arrested for 'anti-Christian' mall disturbance Kiosk employee allegedly tore a crucifix from someone's neck

by Emily West

Police arrested 22-year-old Abdul Walid Hamid of Hayward on the evening of Wednesday, Nov. 4, after he reportedly tore a crucifix from a person's neck and scared others at Stoneridge Shopping Center.
Hamid, an employee at a mall kiosk near Starbucks, has been charged with battery, terrorist threats and grand theft.

According to reports, Hamid was yelling "Allah is power" and "Islam is great" while holding a pen in a fist over his head. Witnesses said he shouted anti-Christian comments, said police.

Lt. Mike Elerick of the Pleasanton Police Department said the man was not provoked and didn't threaten violence, but he committed robbery when he grabbed and broke a crucifix off someone's neck.

Coworkers told police that Hamid's actions were out of the ordinary and that he had worked at the kiosk for years. Police also said they weren't aware of a prior criminal history for the man.

"We had multiple people calling 911," Elerick said. "One female was crouching down and hiding from him. He definitely scared quite a few people."

Elerick said much of the man's speech was similar to the loud scene of the Christian activists who frequent downtown Pleasanton. The big difference, however, was that Hamid was on private property and had physical contact with someone.

"Mall management has the option of making a citizen's arrest on anybody and asking someone to remove themselves for any reason," he said. "If there was no physical contact between Hamid and the customers, with just his actions alone, the mall would have asked that he be removed."

Hamid was reportedly not cooperating and was arrested by force and taken to John George Psychiatric Pavilion in San Leandro for an evaluation. Police said the case would be forwarded to the District Attorney's Office for review and possible charges.

Keep Corruption Out of Texas! Vote Rick Perry!

As we all know, the corruption in the United States has grown to formidable heights due to our current Administration.  I live in the Great State of Texas and we have succeeded thus far in keeping that corruption out.  Dont forget the 9+ Billion dollars we have saved up in our "Rainy Day Fund".    We are the home to over 35 Billionaires and 58 Fortune 500 Companies, in which we lead 2nd to New York.  Texas's growth can be attributed to the availability of jobs, the low cost of housing, the lack of a personal state income tax, the quality of higher education, low taxation and limited regulation of business, a central geographic location, a limited government, favorable weather, and plentiful supplies of oil and natural gas.
Air Cargo World rated Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport as "the best air cargo airport in the world".  The ship channel at the Port of Houston—the largest in the U.S. in international commerce and the sixth-largest port in the world.  Texas has a large tourism industry. The state tourism slogan is "Texas: It's like a whole other country", a nod to Texas's diversity and history. Tourists might enjoy San Antonio and El Paso's Hispanic culture, or Fort Worth western attractions. Galveston, Corpus Christi, and Padre Island are some of the popular Texas resort areas located on the Gulf of Mexico. Houston is Texas' leading convention city. Dallas is also one of the nation's leading convention cities. Houston was the first city in Texas awarded with a CityPass.
Texas Medical Center located in Houston is the worlds largest Medical Center.  Biggs Army Airfield located in El Paso, TX has the 10th longest runway in the nation clocking in at 2.5 miles long.  West Texas is Desert, South Texas is Beaches, Central and East Texas is plush trees and woods, it keeps going and going and going.  So from the way it seems, we are doing just fine.  But in order to keep Texas on the same track we need the right leadership and the trust of our State Government to keep us on that right track.  Thats where Rick Perry comes in.
Rick Perry is the Governor of this great state and has been for almost 10 years now.  He has done great things for our State and has helped keep up our motto "Dont Mess With Texas."  Rick Perry has never been shy about protecting our state and has always voiced his opinions on issues that concern Texans.  In the past year corruption has started to take over our Nation little by little from Cap and Trade to Acorn to unused Stimulus Money to 10.2% Unemployment to Helathcare to Taxes and I could keep going all day.  Rick Perry has started the Grass Boot Movement.  In alliance with the Grass Roots movement only Texas Style.

I am looking for people who are supporters of Rick Perry that wish to sign up to be a part of history.  Governor Rick Perry will run for a 3rd term and I believe he is a candidate in good standing to do so in this State!  By signing up today you’ll get:
Access to insider information.

First notification of events with the governor and campaign activities.

Opportunities to earn free Perry campaign gear like bumper stickers and t-shirts.

It’s all completely free—no donation is ever required.

I want to thank everyone who read this blog and I want to take this time to say God Bless You, God Bless America and God Bless Texas!!  To sign up for Rick Perry's Campaign or if you have any questions on how you can get involved please feel free to drop me an email with your Full Name, Address, and Email Address.  My email address is jcelpaso@gmail.com. The time is now to make sure our voices in Texas are heard and we keep corruption out of Texas and stray away from the trend that has grasped the rest of the United States into borderline tyranny.

Rick Perry is in no way affiliated with this blog and the facts in this blog were found on a basic Google search online.  The opinions expressed in this blog are my personal opinions and were in no way endorsed or recognized by Governor Rick Perry himself.  When signing up for the campaign please note that neither me, any 3rd parties or Rick Perry himself will NOT spam, sell or release your information for any reason what so ever that strays away from the purpose of this campaign.  Thank You and God Bless!!  See you at the voting Booths in 2010!!

The Nancy Pelosi Healthcare Bill Facts

Speaker Nancy Pelosi has reportedly told fellow Democrats that she's prepared to lose seats in 2010 if that's what it takes to pass ObamaCare, and little wonder. The health bill she unwrapped last Thursday, which President Obama hailed as a "critical milestone," may well be the worst piece of post-New Deal legislation ever introduced.

In a rational political world, this 1,990-page runaway train would have been derailed months ago. With spending and debt already at record peacetime levels, the bill creates a new and probably unrepealable middle-class entitlement that is designed to expand over time. Taxes will need to rise precipitously, even as ObamaCare so dramatically expands government control of health care that eventually all medicine will be rationed via politics.  Here are some facts directly taken from the pages of the new and improved 1,990 page Healthcare Reform Bill.

Page 111 - Section 223 establishes a new board of federal bureaucrats (the "Health Benefits Advisory Committee") to dictate the health plans that all individuals must purchase.

Page 211 - Section 321 establishes a new government-run health plan that, according to non-partisan actuaries at the Lewin Group, would cause as many as 114 million Americans to lose their existing coverage.

Page 297 - Section 501 imposes a 2.5 percent tax on all individuals who do not purchase "bureaucrat-approved" health insurance - the tax would apply on individuals with incomes under $250,000, thus breaking a central promise of then-Senator Obama's presidential campaign.

Page 94 - Section 202(c) prohibits the sale of private individual health insurance policies, beginning in 2013, forcing individuals to purchase coverage through the federal government.

Page 225 - Section 330 permits—but DOES NOT REQUIRE--Members of Congress to enroll in government-run health care.

Page 110 - Section 222(e) requires the use of federal dollars to fund abortions through the government-run health plan--and, if the Hyde Amendment were ever not renewed, would require the plan to fund elective abortions.

Page 313 - Section 512 imposes an 8 percent "tax on jobs" for firms that cannot afford to purchase "bureaucrat-approved" health coverage; according to an analysis by Harvard Professor Kate Baicker, such a tax would place millions "at substantial risk of unemployment"--with minority workers losing their jobs at twice the rate of their white counterparts.

Page 336 - Section 551 imposes additional job-killing taxes, in the form of a half-trillion dollar "surcharge," more than half of which will hit small businesses; according to a model developed by President Obama's senior economic advisor, such taxes could cost up to 5.5 million jobs.

Page 520 - Section 1161 cuts more than 150 billion [dollars] from Medicare Advantage plans, potentially jeopardizing millions of seniors' existing coverage.

Page 733 - Section 1401 establishes a new Center for Comparative Effectiveness Research; the bill includes no provisions preventing the government-run health plan from using such research to deny access to life-saving treatments on cost grounds, similar to Britain's National Health Service, which denies patient treatments costing more than 35,000 [pounds].

Page 1174 - Section 1802(b) includes provisions entitled 'Taxes On Certain Insurance Policies' to fund comparative effectiveness research, breaking Speaker Pelosi's promise that 'We will not be taxing [health] benefits in any bill that passes the House,' and the President's promise not to raise taxes on families with incomes under 250,000 [dollars].

•The spending surge. The Congressional Budget Office figures the House program will cost $1.055 trillion over a decade, which while far above the $829 billion net cost that Mrs. Pelosi fed to credulous reporters is still a low-ball estimate. Most of the money goes into government-run "exchanges" where people earning between 150% and 400% of the poverty level—that is, up to about $96,000 for a family of four in 2016—could buy coverage at heavily subsidized rates, tied to income. The government would pay for 93% of insurance costs for a family making $42,000, 72% for another making $78,000, and so forth.

At least at first, these benefits would be offered only to those whose employers don't provide insurance or work for small businesses with 100 or fewer workers. The taxpayer costs would be far higher if not for this "firewall"—which is sure to cave in when people see the deal their neighbors are getting on "free" health care. Mrs. Pelosi knows this, like everyone else in Washington.

• Expanding Medicaid, gutting private Medicare. All this is particularly reckless given the unfunded liabilities of Medicare—now north of $37 trillion over 75 years. Mrs. Pelosi wants to steal $426 billion from future Medicare spending to "pay for" universal coverage. While Medicare's price controls on doctors and hospitals are certain to be tightened, the only cut that is a sure thing in practice is gutting Medicare Advantage to the tune of $170 billion. Democrats loathe this program because it gives one of out five seniors private insurance options.

As for Medicaid, the House will expand eligibility to everyone below 150% of the poverty level, meaning that some 15 million new people will be added to the rolls as private insurance gets crowded out at a cost of $425 billion. A decade from now more than a quarter of the population will be on a program originally intended for poor women, children and the disabled.

Even though the House will assume 91% of the "matching rate" for this joint state-federal program—up from today's 57%—governors would still be forced to take on $34 billion in new burdens when budgets from Albany to Sacramento are in fiscal collapse. Washington's budget will collapse too, if anything like the House bill passes.

• European levels of taxation. All told, the House favors $572 billion in new taxes, mostly by imposing a 5.4-percentage-point "surcharge" on joint filers earning over $1 million, $500,000 for singles. This tax will raise the top marginal rate to 45% in 2011 from 39.6% when the Bush tax cuts expire—not counting state income taxes and the phase-out of certain deductions and exemptions. The burden will mostly fall on the small businesses that have organized as Subchapter S or limited liability corporations, since the truly wealthy won't have any difficulty sheltering their incomes.

This surtax could hit ever more earners because, like the alternative minimum tax, it isn't indexed for inflation. Yet it still won't be nearly enough. Even if Congress had confiscated 100% of the taxable income of people earning over $500,000 in the boom year of 2006, it would have only raised $1.3 trillion. When Democrats end up soaking the middle class, perhaps via the European-style value-added tax that Mrs. Pelosi has endorsed, they'll claim the deficits that they created made them do it.

Under another new tax, businesses would have to surrender 8% of their payroll to government if they don't offer insurance or pay at least 72.5% of their workers' premiums, which eat into wages. Such "play or pay" taxes always become "pay or pay" and will rise over time, with severe consequences for hiring, job creation and ultimately growth. While the U.S. already has one of the highest corporate income tax rates in the world, Democrats are on the way to creating a high structural unemployment rate, much as Europe has done by expanding its welfare states.

Meanwhile, a tax equal to 2.5% of adjusted gross income will also be imposed on some 18 million people who CBO expects still won't buy insurance in 2019. Democrats could make this penalty even higher, but that is politically unacceptable, or they could make the subsidies even higher, but that would expose the (already ludicrous) illusion that ObamaCare will reduce the deficit.

• The insurance takeover. A new "health choices commissioner" will decide what counts as "essential benefits," which all insurers will have to offer as first-dollar coverage. Private insurers will also be told how much they are allowed to charge even as they will have to offer coverage at virtually the same price to anyone who applies, regardless of health status or medical history.

The cost of insurance, naturally, will skyrocket. The insurer WellPoint estimates based on its own market data that some premiums in the individual market will triple under these new burdens. The same is likely to prove true for the employer-sponsored plans that provide private coverage to about 177 million people today. Over time, the new mandates will apply to all contracts, including for the large businesses currently given a safe harbor from bureaucratic tampering under a 1974 law called Erisa.

The political incentive will always be for government to expand benefits and reduce cost-sharing, trampling any chance of giving individuals financial incentives to economize on care. Essentially, all insurers will become government contractors, in the business of fulfilling political demands: There will be no such thing as "private" health insurance.

All of this is intentional, even if it isn't explicitly acknowledged. The overriding liberal ambition is to finish the work began decades ago as the Great Society of converting health care into a government responsibility. Mr. Obama's own Medicare actuaries estimate that the federal share of U.S. health dollars will quickly climb beyond 60% from 46% today. One reason Mrs. Pelosi has fought so ferociously against her own Blue Dog colleagues to include at least a scaled-back "public option" entitlement program is so that the architecture is in place for future Congresses to expand this share even further.

As Congress's balance sheet drowns in trillions of dollars in new obligations, the political system will have no choice but to start making cost-minded decisions about which treatments patients are allowed to receive. Democrats can't regulate their way out of the reality that we live in a world of finite resources and infinite wants. Once health care is nationalized, or mostly nationalized, medical rationing is inevitable—especially for the innovative high-cost technologies and drugs that are the future of medicine.

Mr. Obama rode into office on a wave of "change," but we doubt most voters realized that the change Democrats had in mind was making health care even more expensive and rigid than the status quo. Critics will say we are exaggerating, but we believe it is no stretch to say that Mrs. Pelosi's handiwork ranks with the Smoot-Hawley tariff and FDR's National Industrial Recovery Act as among the worst bills Congress has ever seriously contemplated.

Our First Mission

It has been brought to my attention that a young man in Okeechobee FL, whom was working for Home Depot, has been fired for wearing an American Flag pin that said "One Nation Under God".  He had been wearing the pin for over a year until then he started bringing his Bible to work to read it on his lunch break.  Management asked him to take off the pin because it violated the company dress code.  He refused.  The company then told him they would give him another pin with the words "United We Stand" enscrypted on it.  He also refused that saying "you cant have country without God".  He was then put on a 6 day suspension and then termintaed on October 23rd.

In my opinion, and correct me if im wrong, this is against our constitution.  his rights were taken away.  His rights to freedom of speech and freedom of religion.  I dont know if anyone has ever walked into a Home Depot, but I sure have and I always see associates wearing multiple buttons on thier aprons, sometimes even hundreds of buttons.  I think this is outrageous and unnacceptable.  I went ahead and started a petition against Home Depot.  I will post the link at the end of this blog.  I believe Home Depot should write a formal written apology to the American people for stripping this young man of his rights.  He was not running around preaching his beliefs on other people and his button never recieved 1 complaint in the 19 months that he wore it.  I dont see an issue and I believe this young man should have his job back.  Lets let our voice be heard America.  Every signature is 1 individual voice on this petition.  I will send all your voices to Home Depot Corporate Office in Atlanta, GA when I recieve a substantial amount of voices.  My goal is over 1 million.  Is this possible?  Ill let you decide.  If successful, this will show the rest of the nation that true Americans will defeat the fairy tale the government has put forth in front of us.  Thank you for your help and support.  Please leave me a comment.  Whether your for it or against it, were all Americans and I want to hear your feedback.  God Bless You and God Bless America.

Home Depot Petition. Let your voice be heard!!

Intro for Back to Basics in America

Our country, the United States of America, was founded in 1776 with the signing and proclamation of the Declaration of Independence..  Our forefathers constructed a very carefully written Constitution and Bill of Rights.  This document was made to protect the people of America and to give us the rights that our forefathers endlessly fought for.  It was made to protect us from our government and to ensure the government would never overpower the American people and only be used to show leadership and not dictation.  It is now the year 2009 and our Constitution is under attack.  Our government has continued to grow.  Its causing our economy to collapse and the worth of the American dollar to diminish.  Our government is slowly trying to push God out of our country and sway to socialism.  We must act now to stop this and give the power back to the American people.  We must take the power away from our government.  Everyone has a voice and every voice counts.  America, its time to go back to the basics.
